Great British Lift Off
Great British Lift Off
Sir Martin Sweeting - inventor of the small satellite
It's always fun to go back to where it all began.
Sir Martin Sweeting had no idea he was kickstarting an entire industry when he launched a small satellite in the early 80s.
The founder of Surrey Satellites - and first employer of Craig Clark MBE who went on to found Clydespace and start the Scottish space industry - chats to Kim McAllister and Dr Murray Collins about his incredible career.
Great British Lift Off is a Connect production sponsored by The Science and Technology Facilities Council and the Data Driven Innovation Programme.
The Science and Technology Facilities Council part of UK Research and Innovation is proud to co-sponsor The Great British Lift-off.
